Tell us about yourself

I am Ada, 27 years old from Ghana. In 2016, I was in a pretty low phase in my life, with my parents passing away in a span of eight months. Around the same time, I started to experience extensive pain and uncontrollable bleeding for several months. I sought a local physician who suggested I visit a gynaecologist. I was on some herbal remedy to better my condition, but it did not help at all. I check the suggested gynaecologist about my condition and he asked me to get a few tests done. After several tests, he still could not find what was wrong me, this led me to find help online, and that’s how I stumbled upon MedicoExperts.

How did you know about MedicoExperts?

As mentioned, I was looking for a second opinion and re-evaluation of my conditions, when I found about MedicoExperts in India. They have an online consultation platform that helped me connect with a specialist. I shared all my reports with the specialist and he suggested I get a pelvic examination done. So, next day I got myself examined. When the reports came, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. An MRI revealed that the mass was two and a half centimetres, spreading from my cervix to my uterus and to the top of my vagina. I shared this with my consulting specialist from India, who proposed I would have to undergo radical hysterectomy, and asked if I was willing to travel to India for the treatment. I was more than confident about travelling, as it was, he who helped me correctly diagnose my condition. So, I booked my treatment dates and began preparing myself for the treatment and travel.

How was your experience with MedicoExperts and the Indian Surgeon?

I must say they are very particular and good. The doctors they have with them are excellent. My specialist was able to promptly diagnose my condition which I did not get back in my own country. My surgery was also a success and also underwent chemotherapy in India. I am grateful to them as they helped me heal and get back to my old life.
